September is Pain Awareness Month

The month of September has been set aside as Pain Awareness Month – this is a time when various organizations work to raise public awareness of issues in the area of pain and pain management.
Raising awareness means getting involved. There are many things you can do to help promote Pain Awareness Month. Listed below are a few of the ways:

  • Talk with your friends and family – let them know that September is Pain Awareness Month.
  • “Like” the ACPA (American Chronic Pain Association) on Facebook and encourage your friends to do the same.
  • Call your local government, community leaders and local media to let them know about Pain Awareness Month and the issues of pain and pain management.
  • Take care of yourself!
